needtheater Presents DECIDE: A SORTA MUSICAL Closes 6/26

By:

needtheater in association with the Paul G. Gleason Theater presents the most Godless musical comedy event of the Hollywood Fringe Festival, DEICIDE: A Sorta Musical, with book by Michael Ciriaco and Brandon Baruch, music and lyrics by Brandon Baruch and direction by Brandon Baruch. DEICIDE: A Sorta Musical will open on Thursday, June 17 at 8:30pm and continue through Saturday, June 26 at 5:00pm at The Paul G. Gleason Theater, 6520 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood.

From the warped minds of Mike Ciriaco and Brandon Baruch comes a world-premiere musical comedy. DEICIDE examines and dismantles religion's function in modern society. Things are just dandy in Newtopia. There is one religion (Religionism) and everyone worships one god (God.) But when Nichael Jebediariahson disproves God using absolute Math and Science, the citizens of Newtopia need something else to believe in. All hail Science! Also, sexy people, musical numbers, sassy robots, and the apocalypse!

The cast of DEICIDE features: Lizzie Adelman, Sandy Brody, Michael Ciriaco, Emily Ingersoll, Daniele Manzin, and Henry McMillan.

The design team features: Set Design by David Offner. Art Direction by Gabriel Flores. Lighting Design by Brandon Baruch. Costume Design by Laura Wong. Sound Design by Richie DeMaria. Orchestrations and additional music by Bob Lydecker.
