YouthQuake! Showcase Set for Tonight at Don't Tell Mama

YouthQuake! helps LGBTQ youth realize their dreams in the performing arts by guiding their professional success. Our second public showcase of talent-- an evening of song, dance and performance by the first YouthQuake participants: Reki*, Edgar Banuelos, Kit Dezolt, Miko Greganda, Quelnick Hoff, Travis Lionel, Shane Ivan Nash, and Shahin Saboonpaz. Directed by Alexander Rodriguez with music director Bryan Blaskie.

YouthQuake! is a year-round mentoring and performance program serving talented LGBTQ youth, ages 15-24, dedicated to storytelling, performance, and their professional launch. In 2013, Richard Neely created YouthQuake! Alexander Rodriguez is our Artistic Director.

The YQ program consists of: open auditions, mentoring program, weekly storytelling and career building workshops, 3 full-scale productions annually, 3 intimate showcases annually, and special performance events throughout the year. More info: www.youthquakela.org.

The event is set for Don't Tell Mama Restaurant and Piano Bar, 8279 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA, tonight, March 13, 2014 at 8:00 PM.

New York City's iconic entertainment venue don't tell mama has dramatically swung open the doors to a welcoming west coast audience, transporting The Great White Way to the heart of Los Angeles in West Hollywood. Famed for our staff of Broadway caliber performers, don't tell mama Los Angeles offers a nightly entertainment roster of the country's most talented singers, pianists, cabaret and performance artists. The notoriety of don't tell mama includes the infamous "open mic" - the predecessor to reality television competitions. As well, don't tell mama is legendary for the surprise appearances and performances of visiting Broadway and Pop singers, whether touring in major theatrical productions or just out of the recording studio. You never know whom you will see, or hear, at don't tell mama!
