WICKED Announces Lottery for Los Angeles Holiday Return

By:

The Los Angeles return of WICKED begins performances on Wednesday November 30 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for a limited nine week engagement through Sunday January 29. The producers are announcing that a day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of $25 orchestra seats will be held daily.

Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time, people who present themselves at the Pantages box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. One entry per person per show. An ID is required to purchase the tickets.

When WICKED first played the Pantages in 2005, it broke box office records and sold out in record time. The production returned two years later to begin an extended engagement that would go on to run two years, becoming one of the longest-running and highest-grossing Broadway musicals in L.A. history.

Based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED, winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz. It is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

Full priced tickets for WICKED may be purchased online at www.BroadwayLA.org or by phone at 1-800-982-ARTS(2787). Orchestra level tickets for WICKED start at just $30. Prices are subject to change without notice. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Pantages Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Vine Street, and the box office opens daily at 10am. Groups of 20 or more can call 866-755-3075 or visit www.NedGroups.com.
