VOICE LESSONS Set for the Atwater Village Theatre 2/7 - 2/22

By:

Linda Toliver and Gary Guidinger will present Justin Tanner's VOICE LESSONS, originally directed by Bart DeLorenzo, coming to the Atwater Village Theatre.

Laurie Metcalf (Getting On, Roseanne, Emmy and Ovation winner, Tony nominee) and French Stewart (Mom, Third Rock From the Sun, LA Weekly winner, SAG Award nominee) star in Justin Tanner's comedy, VOICE LESSONS, about the unlikely romance between a deluded community theater actress (Metcalf) and the over educated vocal coach (Stewart) she hires to transform her into a star. Maile Flanagan (Lab Rats, Shameless, Bob's Holiday Office Party, Emmy winner) rounds out the cast.

This is Metcalf's fifth play with Tanner. Metcalf and Stewart appeared together previously in his Still Life With Vacuum Salesman in 2000 and Pot Mom in 1998, both at the Cast Theatre.

Flanagan and Stewart appeared together in his Space Therapy in 2007 at the Zephyr Theatre. Stewart's association with Tanner began with 1989's Zombie Attack! and includes Happytime Xmas, Party Mix, Teen Girl and Intervention. Flanagan previously appeared in Tanner's Wife Swappers and Oklahomo! This is Linda Toliver and Gary Guidinger's third collaboration with Justin Tanner, having previously produced Space Therapy (Ovation nomination for Best New Play) and Teen Girl (two Ovation nominations) at the Zephyr.
