VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM Set for Rock 'N Roll Gay Bar This Spring

By:

VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM, a play by Charles Busch, will be directed by Ernie Gonzalez Jr. at Rock 'N Roll Gay Bar this spring.

Once the longest running Off-Broadway show, VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM tells the saga of two fatally seductive vampiresses whose paths first collide in ancient Sodom. Their bitter rivalry as bloodsuckers but more importantly, as actresses, endures for two thousand years with stops along the way in 1920's silent movie Hollywood and contemporary Las Vegas.

Leading the cast is Kelly Mantle of Ru Paul's Drag Race SE. 6 as Madeleine Astarte; other selected credits include: guest star roles in "Mike & Molly", "The New Normal", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", and "Will & Grace". Brad Griffith plays La Condesa; selected credits include: "As the World Turns", Theatreworks USA, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and Lincoln Center/Clark Studio.

Michelle Holmes plays Oatsie Carewe; she was a 2015 Ovation Awards nominee for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, as well as a Stage Raw Theatre Awards nominee for Best Female Comic Performance.

Levi Packer plays Etienne; he was nominated in 2015 for Best Actor in a Comedy Series at the LAWebfest.

The rest of the cast includes: Howland Wilson as Renee Vain/Tracy, Ryan Dowd Urch as King Carlisle/Danny, EJ Brotons as Ali/P.J. and Enrique Quintero as Hujar/Zack.

The play is written by Charles Busch; actor, novelist, screenwriter, director, and drag legend. Other notable works include Best Play Tony Award nominee in 2001 The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Psycho Beach Party, Die Mommie Die, and The Lady in Question.

Ernie Gonzalez Jr directs and produces, Levi Packer produces (Sodom & Gomorrah Productions), Jacob Ortuno is on Choreography, and Robby Jon George heads Costuming, Wigs and Makeup. George Infantado wears several hats as Stage Manager, Sound Designer, and Board Operator.
