The Troubadours Of Daytime will present a staged reading at Rogue Machine of THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA by Tennessee Williams starring JUDITH CHAPMAN (Y&R), CHRISTIAN LE BLANC (Y&R) ALLEY MILLS (B&B), and Orson Bean with EMILY O'BRIEN & DAVID LAGO (Y&R) on November 7 and November 8.

The presentation will be directed by Elina de Santos and produced by Matthew Elkins.

Passion runs deep in this award-winning Tennessee Williams play, the story of tormented souls finding moments of intimacy and relief in an exotic setting in Mexico. Williams' ability to expose the heart of the human condition is profoundly evident in what is thought to be his last great work.

First performed on Broadway at the Royale Theatre December 28, 1961, The Night of the Iguana won Williams his fourth New York Drama Critics Award. Like other plays by Williams, The Night of the Iguana focuses on sexual relationships and odd characters, including a man crippled by his desires. Critics see The Night of the Iguana as the link between stylistic eras (early/middle to late) for Williams. They argue that Williams reveals more of himself in this play than in his previous work. Unlike many of Williams' plays The Night of the Iguana ends on a positive, hopeful note.

The presentations will take place on November 7, 2009 @ 2:00 PM and November 8, 2009 @ 7:00 PM. A reception to follow each performance.  For reservations call (323) 960-7774 or visit www.roguemachinetheatre.com. Tickets are $60.
