Towne Street Theatre, LA's Premiere African American Theatre Company, announces the line up for its 5th Annual Ten Minute Play Festival. Twelve plays have been selected that embody the theme of this year's festival - "The Black Experience: Part 2 - LOVE." The festival, slated for February 3 - 19, 2012, at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, will explore love in all of its incarnations and manifestations. The following plays provide a glimpse of "Black Love" through both comedies and dramas, as they explore race, relationships, family, sexuality, and the history of blacks in America.

A Line of Malarkey by Larry Parr
An Idle Fancy by Libba Beaucham
Fat Dumb White Girl by Asher Wyndham
First to the Egg by Colette Freedman
Higher ED by Karla Sorenson
Out In The Open by Irene Ziegler
The Anniversary by Cliff Gober
The Paper Swan by Amina Henry
Twisted Dance by Porcha Evans
V DAY by Ashford J. Thomas

Over 150 plays were submitted for this year's festival, from writers throughout the US and Canada. The twelve plays selected represent a diverse group of playwrights who range in age, gender, ethnicity, and geographic location. There will be first, second, and third place prizes for audience favorites.
