The Kentwood Players Present THE WIZARD OF OZ 11/21, 12/5, 12/12

The Kentwood Players are delighted to present a Kentwood Kids Production of "The Wizard of Oz" musical, based on the original story by L. Frank Baum, adapted by Frank Gabrielson with music and lyrics of the MGM motion picture score by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg. The production is directed by Meredith M. Sweeney and produced by Robyn Rothstein and Adam Dunberger.

In honor of the 70th anniversary of the MGM classic movie, come and enjoy "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," "We're Off to See The Wizard" and MORE! Performances will be at 11am and 2pm on Saturdays, November 21, December 5, and December 12 at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester. That's ONLY six performances, so mark your calendars now!

Featured in the cast of "The Wizard of Oz" are 24 performers, ages 6-16, including Monica Allan, Amanda Araque, Madison Browning, Makenzie Browning, Elizabeth Cruz, Samantha Cruz, Ella Cunningham, Madison Dewberry, Emma Erenmark, Rachel Evans, Francesca Farina, Ezekiel Fredericks, Logan Hannig, Trinity King, Kobe Kubes, Steven Lerner, Hayley Novack, Valentina Povolo, Martina Povolo, Josiah Taylor, Alan Trapenard, Karine Trapenard, Rocio Vietina, and Camilla Vietina as Dorothy.

All audience members are invited to meet the cast and enjoy refreshments in the theater lobby after the performance. Parents are welcome to bring a camera for photo opportunities during the after performance reception only. Please note that an adult must accompany all children in the theater.

Tickets are $10.00 with a special family four-pack of seats for $35.00. Please call (310) 645-5156 for reservations Tuesday through Saturday from 4-7 PM. Visa, MasterCard, and Diner's Club accepted. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.kentwoodplayers.org. Special needs seating is available in the front row and should be arranged with the box office at the time of ticket purchase.

The Kentwood Players general membership meetings are held at the Westchester Playhouse at 8:00 PM on the third Wednesday of each month and are open to the public. Attending will give you a chance to meet "The Wizard of Oz" production team, learn more about this 60-year-old and highly successful community theatre group and our upcoming productions. Westchester Playhouse is located two blocks west of the San Diego Freeway and two blocks north of Manchester at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045.
