The Grove to Host Magician Michael Mezmer, 10/4; Toni Morrell's REMEMBERING THE LADIES, 10/12

By:

On October 4th, The Grove Theatre presents two award winning performances wrapped into one show. Known as the "Phenomenist", Michael Mezmer combines his talents as one of the world's top performing stage hypnotists with his award winning skills in the field of organic magic phenomena to create amazing performances in two shows - Trance-Nosis and DangerMagik.

Trance-Nosis, a show combining the sensational with human interest, is amazing, amusing and thought provoking. Devoted entirely to audience participation entertainment, you never know what's going to happen. The audience becomes the stars, performing everything from celebrity impersonations to dancing the Riverdance. Every performance holds unexpected and entertaining surprises.

In his DangerMagik show, Mezmer presents cutting edge organic magic phenomena designed to take the audience on a journey beyond the laws of nature and science. DangerMagik is an amazing show that entertains audiences of all ages.

Mezmer has toured throughout the United States and the Orient performing for millions, with standing room only crowds. His goal is to present the allied arts of hypnosis and magic in a way which people of all ages can learn about and enjoy them in a unique theatrical experience.

This one night only performance of magic phenomena and comedy hypnosis is designed for an evening of family fun and is not to be missed, and is being formed by Mezmer as a fundraiser for The Grove Theatre to help us meet our $150,000 goal by December 31st.

Tickets: Adults $20, Children, Students $10

REMEMBERING THE LADIES, starring Toni Morrell, is BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, one night only on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 8:00 pm. Voted "Best Solo Show in California Theatre" and nominated "Best Special Theatre Event in Los Angeles" by BroadwayWorld.com, REMEMBERING THE LADIES pays loving tribute to the Legendary Ladies of Film, Stage, Comedy and Music, not through character impersonations (well, maybe a couple!), but through the electrifying singing voice, story-telling prowess and quirky English humor of its star, Toni Morrell, who has performed throughout the United States, Great Britain and Europe.

Remembering The Ladies features captivating on-screen images as well as superb orchestral arrangements by Musical Director, David Dial, paying homage to some of the world's most beloved female singers, Actresses, Comediennes and Entertainers of all time - Judy Garland, Edith Piaf, Shirley Bassey, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Marlene Dietrich, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, Liza Minnelli, and a host of others. This show is unlike any other show you've ever seen! It is a nostalgic, heartwarming, poignant, hilarious and profoundly moving evening of great entertainment!

David Dial provides technical and musical direction. With a reputation as one of the leading "Electronic Orchestrators" in the business, David has the unique skill of sounding like a 30-piece orchestra. He has served as Musical Director for Burt Bacharach and several Broadway Shows.

REMEMBERING THE LADIES is directed by Celebrity Television Producer, Karen G. Cadle (Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, The Whoopi Goldberg Show and, most recently, PBS's Pioneers of Television).

For this One Night Only Concert Event, The Grove Theatre's very own "Legendary Lady", Sherry Kinison will be making a Special Guest Appearance.

Tickets: $25, $30

Tickets for both performances can be bought here.
