The Group Rep Gives Back Inviting Furloughed Federal Workers To See A Play For Free

While a number of restaurants are offering up free meals for Federal workers on furlough due to the government shutdown, The Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre is jumping in to offer a pair of free tickets to a show.

Federal workers can get a pair of tickets to the Group Rep's production of James McLure's one act comedies, LAUNDRY AND BOURBON and LONE STAR, which opens tonight, January 25th at 8 pm; and runs through March 3, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm.

Federal employees need to make a reservation by calling 818.763.5990 and show their Federal ID when picking up tickets from the box office starting one hour prior to curtain. The Lonny Chapman Theatre is located at 10900 Burbank Boulevard, North Hollywood 91601 at the edge of the NoHo Theatre and Arts District.

The Group Rep's Board president Todd Andrew Ball said, "The theatre company wanted to find a way to support employees furloughed by the shutdown. And what better way to take their minds off of their troubles for a while, than live theatre."
