The Covina Center for the Performing Arts Presents ELVIS: THE MUSICAL 1/14-17
The Covina Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce renowned Elvis Presley impersonator Paul Casey will bring his Elvis: the Musical An American Trilogy to the CCPA stage for five performances only, beginning January 13 and continuing on January 14, 15, 16 and 17.
Casey, two time entertainer of the year in Las Vegas, dubbed the official Las Vegas Elvis, continues his tour of this production with the Covina appearance. The show is a retrospective of the career of the late performer, featuring Casey as he performs more than 30 titles from the Presley songbook, recreating the spirit and pulse of the 50's rock and roll era symbolized by the iconic Presley. Personal items of Presley's, including jump suits, blue suede shoes and sun glasses will also be on display
The Covina Center for the Performing Arts, a completely new performing arts venue in downtown Covina, launches its second season with the Casey show, the first of the special events in its second season at the Citrus and Badillo facility.
Retha Champion, producer of the Casey appearance, reminded Elvis fans that January 8 would have been Elvis' 75th birthday. The artistic staff at CCPA is proud to offer Paul Casey's impressive commemoration of a man who changed the face of popular music and represented youth and good times. Elvis fans throughout the area will want to join us to remember Elvis, the 50's and the birth of rock and roll. Photo opportunities will be offered with Casey in full Elvis regalia.
All of the performances start at 8 pm. Tickets for this special event are $50. Tickets for Elvis: the Musical An American Trilogy or information about other special events or mainstage productions for the full 2010 season can be obtained by visiting the theatre's website at www.covinacenter.com or by calling the box office at (626) 331-8133.
