TWELFTH NIGHT Plays in LA, 4/21; Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival Comes to Thousand Oaks, June-Aug

The Shakespeare Educational Tour adapted version of "Twelfth Night" will be presented this coming Saturday, April 21 at 11 am at the Geffen Playhouse Gil Cates Theatre in Los Angeles, 10886 Le Conte Ave. The show is geared toward an elementary school audience and has been presented to 16 elementary schools in Ventura County this spring.

The 16th season of the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival will feature performances of "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Romeo and Juliet" at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

The 2012 season will run from June 29 through August 5 in scenic Kingsmen Park. "Much Ado About Nothing," directed by Kevin P. Kern, will be performed June 29-July 1, July 6-8, and July 13-15. "Romeo and Juliet", directed by Brett Elliott, will be staged July 20-22, July 27-29, and Aug. 3-5. All shows begin at 8 p.m.

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival is one of the area's most popular outdoor theatrical events. Visitors are immersed in the Shakespeare experience as the festival grounds open at 5:30 p.m. for pre-show picnicking and entertainment.

General admission is $20 for adults and free for those under 18. Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.
