To The New Girl from the former Mrs._____: Sound Advice for my Husband's Wife or Mistress features ten different women, from all walks of life, giving advIce To the "other woman (or man, in one case)" on the proper care of their former mates. Each story explores infidelity from a unique angle: from a woman who discovers that she's the not the only woman in her town willing to indulge her husband's diapering fetish, to a women who's loyal husband of 57 years, in the last stages of Alzheimer's, develops a crush on a woman at his nursing home, to a televangelist's wife who has figured out how to make her husband's indiscretion with a man work out to her economic and emotional advantage.

"Women leave marriages with debt, kids, and nowhere to go, and somehow still manage to pull themselves together for the sake of their survival," says playwright Samantha Macher (Reva Shiner Comedy Award Finalist; Delauney Prize Winner). In writing these stories Macher was inspired by how women not only survive infidelity but actually emerge from it "with a sense of self (and humor) that is even more clearly defined than it was when they were part of the connubial coupling that our society holds in such high regard."

Developed specifically for SkyPilot Theatre Company as a way to take advantage of the company's wealth of talented actresses, To The New Girl is directed by Jeanette D. Farr (Tennessee Williams Scholar for the Sewanee Writers Conference).

SkyPilot Theatre Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering new relationships with provocative playwrights to develop the most compelling, challenging and humorous new plays for the Los Angeles theatre going audience.
