THE ALBUM PROJECT: RUMORS to Debut at King King Hollywood in July

By:

The Album Project returns with its latest musical presentation, The Album Project: Rumours. The t re-imagining of Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album will debut on July 8th at King King Hollywood.

Showcasing the complete track listing from the iconic album, the evening will feature performances by Clifford Bañagale (Brüno, Busong), Charlotte Mary Wen (BRONIES!, One Day, The Musical), Katherine Washington (Recorded in Hollywood), Casey Hayden (Bare: Los Angeles) and Kate Sullivan Gibbens (TAP: Jagged Little Pill).

This production follows last summer's extended LA run and Phoenix, AZ engagement of The Album Project: Jagged Little Pill. Artistic Director Kate Sullivan Gibbens helms volume Volume Three with music direction by Jake Anthony.

Filled with timeless hits like, "Go Your Own Way," "Don't Stop," and "Dreams," Fleetwood Mac's Rumours remains one of the best-selling albums of all times. Recognized as much for its trailblazing music as for the emotional turbulence present during recording, Rumours' unparalleled legacy can still be felt today.

Conceived by Artistic Director Kate Sullivan Gibbens, The Album Project is a response to today's single-driven music culture. Each volume honors a complete album in unique, theatrical interpretation.

The Album Project: Rumours is devised and directed by Kate Sullivan Gibbens (Spring Awakening, original collaborator on 8, The Play) with arrangements by Patrick Burns, Jake Anthony, and Kate Sullivan Gibbens. Assistant Director Lily Comeau, Artistic Associate Jenny Lester, and Stage Manager Candice Clasby round out the production team.

A roster of local musicians serve as openers for each performance. July 8th features Anthony Starble, (EP: We Need to be Loved). Amanda Carson opens July 12th.

"Rumours is an emblem of the art we can create if we work together through our differences," said Kate Sullivan Gibbens. "This album is full of hope, truth, and gut-wrenching rock and roll."

Performances July 8th, 12th, and 15th at 8PM at King King Hollywood. 21+ venue. Tickets $20-30 available at www.thealbumprojectla.com/tickets.
