Steven Glaudini Departs Music Theatre West for Moonlight Stage Productions

By: Oct. 01, 2012

Musical Theatre West's artistic director/producer, Steven Glaudini, has left Musical Theatre West to become the Artistic Director-Designate of Moonlight Stage Productions in the city of Vista effective October 1, 2012 and will assume the title of Artistic Director upon the retirement of Founder/Producing Artistic Director Kathy Brombacher on December 31, 2012.

For five years, Glaudini served as Artistic Director/Producer of Musical Theatre West, presenting five Broadway-style musicals a year. Prior to his tenor at MTW, Glaudini worked as an Equity Agent for Kazarian, Spencer, Ruskin and Associates in Studio City, where he represented a roster of more than 200 actors, submitting and booking performers in California, New York and the West End. From 1999-2005, Glaudini served as Executive Director/Producer of Performance Riverside in Riverside, CA, where he produced a Broadway musical series and other attractions. Previously, he worked as Casting Director for the Walt Disney Company in Anaheim, where he was responsible for casting more than 150 performers in addition to staging numerous special projects and Disney industrial shows.

Glaudini directed many of Musical Theatre West's critically-acclaimed productions, including MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, ANNIE, Little Shop OF HORRORS, THE PRODUCERS, ALL SHOOK UP, THE PAJAMA GAME and THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE.

"MTW is indebted to Steve for his artistic vision during the five years he was with our company," stated MTW Executive Director/Producer Paul Garman. "He raised the caliber of our productions, and the many Ovation award nominations are a testament to the quality of his work. He will be sorely missed, but we wish him well in his new artistic endeavors and he will always have a special place in the MTW family."

MTW Executive Director/Producer Paul Garman will assume artistic director duties for the organization.
