Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City, CA is pleased to announce its October roster of headliners.  Critically acclaimed as LA's premier supper-club, located at the legendary Vitello's Restaurant, Sterling's Upstairs celebrated the beginning of its second year of operation on June 9, 2007, and is known for its dedication to presenting the best of Broadway Performers and Nightclub Artists. As a result, the prestigious organization Cabaret West has cited Sterling's Upstairs as its "Spotlight" Feature for September and October 2007.

Sunday, October 7: Tiba! As distinct and unusual as her name, Tiba is the unique product of the merging of generations. A New Orleans native, she was raised by parents who collected and restored jukeboxes, so Tiba grew up exclusively to the sounds of such legendary performers as Glenn Miller, Dean Martin, Sam Cooke, Elvis Presley and the Platters. A distinctive song stylist, Tiba is what we like to call a "female crooner." She pays tribute to her unique upbringing and to the era that helped shape her identity in her show Jukebox Baby. Her current hit CD "Jukebox Baby" is available on the Fynsworth Alley Label.

Sunday, October 14:  Tam (Bernier) Evans, a distinguished addition to the roster of headliners at Sterling's Upstairs, Tam (Bernier) Evans starred as "Tanya" in over 1500 performances of the Broadway, Toronto and Las Vegas productions of the mega-hit musical Mamma Mia! based on the music of the hit recording group Abba. Originally from Canada, Evans has also starred in the Canadian Stage musical theatre productions of Outrageous, and Pelagie, and spent over 4 years playing lead roles at the world-renowned Stratford Festival of Canada. Productions included The Two Gentlemen of Verona, As You Like It, The Cherry Orchard, Taming of the Shrew and others.

Saturday, October 20: Sandy Zacky and Mike Clifford. Known as a master of song interpretation, Zacky has appeared in concert at numerous Los Angeles venues including such former clubs as Perino's, Vine Street Bar and Grill, the St. James Club, and the original Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.  Clifford is a renowned recording artist and actor who has been singing with Sandy Zacky for 20 years. Clifford skyrocketed to fame by his first hit in the US "Close to Cathy" on United Artists Records.  He also starred in the dual roles of Johnny Casino and Teen Angel in the first national touring company of the Broadway hit musical Grease on the road for two years with John Travolta and Barry Bostwick.  He first toured the US and Canada with The Dick Clark Caravan of Stars and went on to appear on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Joey Bishop Show, The Mike Douglas Show and had a recurring role on the daytime series "Never Too Young." In 2007, Zacky and Clifford recorded the popular CD "Love is Everything" on the Three Sun label.  It is a collection of favorite songs which showcase their unique talents.

Saturday, October 27: Tricia Kelly, though a child of the 70s whose first album was in fact, a K-Tel record featuring the Bay City Rollers and countless others all in one marvelous package. Kelly is influenced by all styles of music.  She will surprise you as she takes you back in time from the Broadway stage to Woodstock, from rock to R&B, to TV themes. A recent arrival to the Los Angeles area from Boston, MA, Tricia has done two successful runs as Brenda Lee and Petula Clark and Janis Joplin in Beehive at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood this past year.  Since the release of her independent CD "Keep on Movin'," available at www.cdbaby.com, she has performed as an opening act for KC & The Sunshine Band at the Cape Cod Melody Tent, performed the National Anthem for the Boston Celtics and most recently in LA) was a lead perfomer in 50 Years of Rock & Roll at the Orange County Pavilion (in Santa Ana, CA) with Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers.  She most recently appeared September 13, 2007 on the new Fox Network variety/game series "Don't Forget the Lyrics!"
