Stepfanie Kramer Headlines The Catalina Jazz Club 4/4
Popular television and stage actress, Stepfanie Kramer will headline Southern California's renowned jazz venue The Catalina Jazz Club for one night only on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 8pm, it was announced today by her concert promoter, Spot-On Entertainment.
Best known for her role as tough-minded detective, Sgt. Dee Dee McCall on the popular series Hunter, this internationally known actress' film credits include Deceived by Trust, Favorite Son, Thrill, Coins in the Fountain, Beyond Suspicion, The Dogwalker, Ground Truth, and the wildly popular Cutting Edge II: Going for the Gold. An Emmy nominee, she has guest starred in roles on many of primetime TV's top series. A powerful singer with extensive theatre credits, Kramer held her own side by side with legends including Bob Hope & Sammy Davis Jr. and shared the small screen with Fred Dryer (Hunter), Christy Romano (Disney Channel), Frederic Forrest, Jack Scalia (All My Children), Michael Gross (Family Ties), Antonio Sabato Jr. (General Hospital) & Chris Noth (Sex In The City).
Trained as a mezzo soprano, Kramer is a prolific composer and lyricist and has released two CDs: "One Dream" and "The Great American Songbook." Ms. Kramer's father was well known to Southern California audiences as a professional violinist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic who also toured with big bands. Her mother is an artist, model and former on-air personality, having previously hosted her own country/western radio show.
Kramer's performance is entitled "Stepfanie Kramer Sings the Great American Songbook: Thanks for the Memories" and will feature the best of the American, Broadway and popular standard songbook including Hit Me With a Hot Note, Oh, Look At Me Now, More Than You Know, A Lot of Livin' to Do (from the Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie), Moondance. The Lady Is a Tramp, Downtown, My Funny Valentine, Anyone Who Had a Heart, You Must Always Remember, Too Darn Hot, Put Your Dreams Away (For Another Day), Nice and Easy, The Last Dance, Serenade In Blue, I'll Never Smile Again, Willow Weep for Me, Dream, I Got Rhythm, I'll Be Seeing You & Day In Day Out.
