March 10 - April 1
Of Government by Alexander Borinsky
Need to refill your cup? Join Ms. Marjorie Blain and friends for an evening of songs, tasty snacks, and a DIY pageant celebrating the often overlooked "feminine" labor that binds our communities together. | Directed by Kate Motzenbacker

May 26 - June 17
Plunge by Tom Jacobson Dark secrets bubble to the surface as two strangers - one a priest, the other a noted art historian - share a surreal confession at LA's "exclusive" Bimini Baths. Years before, a boy drowned under mysterious circumstances. But whose crime was it, really? | Directed by Matthew McCray

SPECIAL NOTE: Set in 1916, Plunge is the first installment of Tom Jacobson's world-premiere trilogy, The Ballad of Bimini Baths, which uses real events at the now-forgotten spa to examine the collision of cultures in 20th Century Los Angeles. All three parts of the trilogy will be presented in Summer 2018 as a collaboration between Son of Semele Ensemble (Part 1: Plunge), Playwrights Arena (Part 2: Tar) and Rogue Machine (Part 3: Mexican Day).

October 27 - November 18
The Woman Who Went to Space as a Man by Maureen Huskey Part fact, part fever dream, this captivating new work opens with Alice B. Sheldon - better known to sci-fi aficionados as author James Tiptree, Jr. - contemplating suicide. Dodging in and out of reality, the play investigates gender, longing and creativity as self-exploration through one of the Science Fiction world's greatest literary tricksters. | Directed by Maureen Huskey; Music by Yuval Ron

CURATED FESTIVALS

January 17 - February 11
Company Creation Festival
The 8th annual Company Creation Festival presents four performance works by progressive theatre ensembles in repertory. Since 2010, this winter festival has led to the creation of nearly 30 new theatrical works, and supported over 20 different theatre companies and artist collectives in taking risks and challenging forms.

July 12 - 29
Solo Creation Festival The 5th annual Solo Creation Festival features a bold and diverse line-up of nine artists, presented in three distinct programs, each featuring works of various genres and forms. Since 2014 Solo Creation Festival has spotlighted the breadth of possibility in the field of solo performance.
