STRONG STOIC STRAITZ: ALPHA PODCAST FOR MALE KINGS (A MUSICAL) Will Play Hollywood Fringe Festival
The satirical musical comedy will run at The Bad Ladder in Los Angeles.
STRONG STOIC STRAITZ: ALPHA PODCAST FOR MALE KINGS (A MUSICAL) will begin performances June 6 at The Bad Ladder as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
The satirical musical comedy follows fictional manosphere podcast hosts Brandawg, TechniKyle, and Icky D as they attempt to “reclaim” musical theater for men through a live podcast event staged as a musical. The production is described as a parody of podcast culture, online masculinity influencers, and self-styled “alpha male” media personalities.
The production is written and directed by Mike Hadge, whose previous work includes DOOFYLAND. Performers include Brandawg “The Man Dawg,” Kyle “TechniKyle” Realhuman, Icarus D'Artagnan (“Icky D”), and Mattsy “Matthew” Smurfidge. Additional featured performers include Brittany Hoagland, Tessa Slovis, Lyndsay Hailey, Emily McIntyre, and Katierose Donohue Enriquez.
Performance Schedule
Performances will take place at The Bad Ladder, located at 1514 N. Gardner St. in Los Angeles, on June 6 at 6:30 p.m., June 12 at 8:30 p.m., June 13 at 10:00 p.m., June 24 at 7:00 p.m., and June 27 at 8:00 p.m.
The production features music direction by Kyle DeTarnowsky, stage management by Eliza McGowan-Stinski, and graphic design by Greg Pray, Michael Maglio, and Matt Leary.
