The Katselas Theatre Company presents The World Premiere of The "Hook Up" Comedy Altar Ego by James Lyons and Directed by Audrey Moore and Leila Vatan. The show is produced by Gary Grossman and opens Saturday, April 10 at 8pm at The Beverly Hills Playhouse.

The Katselas Theatre Company continues its landmark 2010 Season with the World Premiere of James Lyons' Alter Ego, a fresh, candidly irreverent, sometimes poignant look at relationships, fidelity, monogamy, addiction and everything else that takes place between the upper thighs and the lower waist. The production is co-directed by Audrey Moore and Leila Vatan. Producing is Gary
Grossman. The production opens Saturday, April 10 at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

James Lyons, born and raised in Houston, attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where he won critical acclaim for his portrayal of Willis in Michael Weller's Moonchildren and Guido in Jordan Goldberg and Jonathan Nolan's Conflict in Satin and Silk. In addition to Georgetown University, Lyons has trained at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in Washington, DC, the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York City, and currently studies at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. James recently finished shooting two feature films, A Dream Beloved and Autodoc. He also just completed a run of the Leonard Melfi play, Birdbath, produced by Katselas Theatre Company. In addition to Alter Ego, Lyons is completing two full-length plays, Signs & Arrows and Revisionist History. The one-act version of Signs & Arrows was recently produced by the Katselas Theatre Company and performed at the Skylight Theatre in Los Feliz.

Alter Ego marks Audrey Moore's directing debut. She has appeared in over forty original stage
plays. Moore received her BFA in acting from Boston University, studied with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and founded the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company in NYC. Leila
Vatan was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the United States following the Iranian Revolution. She can be seen as the lead in the upcoming short, Parallel Process, as well as a supporting role in the upcoming feature, The Devil and Saddam Hussein. Additionally, Vatan had a leading role in the feature film, Those Ladies.

The production stars Alexandra Ella, Mike Horton, Michelle Lawrence, James Lyons, Audrey Moore, Jeremy Radin, Leila Vatan and Alex Weed.

Alter Ego previews April 2, 3, 9. The production premieres Saturday, April 10 at 8PM and Sunday, April 11 at 2PM. Performances continue Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm, until April 25. The Beverly Hills Playhouse is located at 254 S. Robertson Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211.

General admission is $20, Students & seniors, $15. For reservations, call: (310) 358-9936. For Katselas Theatre Company General Information: www.katselastheatre.org

The Katselas Theatre Company continues the mission statement set forth by Milton Katselas and Camelot Artists. Working primarily with actors and directors of the Beverly Hills Playhouse, as well as with Los Angeles-based professionals, The Katselas Theatre Company produces stage work inspired by the best work from the BHP's renowned classes as well as turning outside to directors and writers looking for scripts and productions with the emphasis on Los Angeles and World Premiere events. In addition, the theatre company plays host to musicians, poets, and dancers in
its continuing dedication to creating theatrical works that benefit the broader Los Angeles community and contribute to its vibrant arts life.
