OBCTheater presents the enchanting TONY AWARD WINING musical THE SECRET GARDEN APRIL 21 - 24, 2016.
When young Mary Lennox loses her parents to a chloera outbreak in India, she is sent to live with her uncle, Archibal Craven. Surrounded by spirits from the past, Mary begins to peel away the layers of sadness that cover the house and the garden, showing us the power that "one small girl" can have when she "wants things to grow." Written by Pulitzer Winner Marsha Norman (The Color Purple) with music by Lucy Simon (Doctor Zhivago) this lush musical delivers a magical theatrical experience.
Featuring James Ellis (Archibald), Paul Gregory Del Real (Dr. Craven), Sarah Christensen (Mary), Matthew Price (Colin), Amanda Kalkanis (Lily), Leslie Thompson (Mrs. Medlock), Emma Ayars (Martha), Andrew Holmes (Dickon), Savannah Sanabia (Rose), and Bobby Rowland (Ben Weatherstaff) with a stellar cast of performers from throughout Southern California.
