The Jade/Anthony Company and Blossom Brown have confirmed the development for QUEER, a new original Broadway-aimed musical in Los Angeles, CA.

Broadway investor Miss Hazel Jade (Once On This Island) will pen the book, joined by Jerome Kurtenbach ("Crazy Ex-Girlfriend")  who will write the music and lyrics of the electronic-pop score. Adam David Marino will serve as the production dramaturg.

Casting, additional creative team, and a production schedule will be announced at a later date.

MISS HAZEL JADE (Book) is a Broadway dramaturg, investor, and co-producer, whose producing projects include My Date With Death: A Romance Musical, Jesus Freak!, and her own original musical, QUEER. She was also an investor on three Broadway musicals, two that won Tony Awards, and has a career as a dramaturg for three musicals, where she consults with writers to develop strong female leads. In her history, Hazel Jade has worked with: Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Mary Lambert, Judith Light, Our Lady J, Sara Ramirez, and more.

JEROME KURTENBACH (Music and Lyrics) is a composer, producer, artist, and musician. Starring Rachel Bloom, he is a composer, co-songwriter, and orchestrator for the pilot and various episodes of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend". He’s also served as a lead orchestrator for various projects, including the opening of the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards. He’s also scored over 30 other shorts, and his musical Outside the Lines (book by Matt Mancuso) had a private industry reading last fall. Kurtenbach also wrote the music and lyrics for Hazel Jade’s original Broadway-aimed musical, QUEER, and produced its electronic-pop score.

ADAM DAVID MARINO (Production Dramaturg) is ecstatic to be part of the team of QUEER! Adam was born, raised, and educated in Rochester, NY. He attended Nazareth College of Rochester and was a BFA Musical Theater Major. Adam has spent his time since college performing all over the country, and internationally. Most recently, Adam was a Lead Soloist aboard the AIDAstella. Favorite past credits include Grease (Doody), Tarzan (Terk) and The Buddy Holly Story (Ritchie Valens).
