Nadya Ginsburg Joins THE DAMAGED FURNITURE Cast Through Today
The Stage Raw Recommended and Critics Pick world premiere comedy DAMAGED FURNITURE written by Howard Skora (Miserable with an Ocean View, Catch a Rising Star NYC), directed by Jim Fall ("Trick," "The Lizzie McGuire Movie.") produced by Bryan Rasmussen and Whitefire Theatre welcomes brilliant comedic actress Nadya Ginsberg to the cast in the role of 'Gina' for three shows on Saturdays July 14, July 21 and August 4. Original cast member, Jessica Pohly, returns August18 and August 25, at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Nadya Ginsburg's career as an actress, comedian and writer encompasses the NYC and LA stage, network television and feature film. Best known for celebrity skewering, she has gained an international cult-following for her Madonna and Cher impressions, garnering feature articles in The New York Times, London's Q Magazine, The New Yorker, The Village Voice, Time Out New York and In Style Magazine. Nadya has written for comedy legends Joan Rivers and Roseanne, and has appeared as a comedy judge on RuPaul's Dragrace. Cast as a pregnant slut, Nadya Guest Starred on 2 Broke Girls and on Partners for CBS. She just wrapped the Ben Stiller produced feature Friendsgivin, and had a sold-out run at her favorite theater in the basement of a Mexican restaurant portraying the young Alyssa Milano in Who's Da Boss? Nadya lives in LA and tours nationally as a comedian.
DAMAGED FURNITURE is about a man who returns home to Brooklyn after a shocking furniture accident claims the life of his uncle, where he is confronted by his beyond dysfunctional family and forced into the family business. The well-received comedy has been selling out every Saturday night since it opened in March.
The play features the talents of Alex Skuby ("King of Queens," "The Fosters"), Mo Collins ("Mad TV," "Lady Dynamite"), Robert Mangiardi (The Birches, Working 2017), Jessica Pohly (Groundlings), Peggy Maltby Etra ("Seinfeld," Groundlings): and the voice of Drew Droege ("Die Mommie, Die!," "Heathers").
