Melba Moore: Forever Moore At Catalina Bar & Grill In Hollywood

Chris Isaacson Presents has announced that four-time Grammy Award nominee and Tony Award-winner Melba Moore will appear in concert at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood celebrating the release of her new CD "Forever Moore." There will be two performances only on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at 8:30pm.

Melba Moore is a four-time Grammy Award nominee and the winner of the 1970 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance as Lutiebelle in Purlie. With a total of 11 top ten US hits on the Billboard charts over the past 40 years, Moore continues into the 21st century as one of pop music's most enduring artists. She began her Broadway career in the original cast of Hair; other Broadway appearances have included Timbuktu, an all-black version of Kismet with Eartha Kitt, Inacent Black, and she was the first black Fantine in LES MISERABLES. She toured the country with in the gospel play Mama I'm Sorry and with American Idol star Diana DeGarmo in the musical Brooklyn. Her television credits include Falcon Crest, The Tim Conway Show, The Love Boat, Ellis Island, Hotel, The Cosby Show, Mother's Day, All Dogs Go to Heaven, and a TV movie version of Purlie, among many others. In 2011, Moore brought her new cabaret show, Forever Moore, to Café Carlyle once again wowing audiences in New York. Since 1971 Moore has released a total of 19 albums including her latest effort, Forever Moore. The first single from the album, "Love Is," is now available on iTunes. She continues to develop and perform her solo show Still Standing: The Melba Moore Story.

Moore's show at Catalina will feature songs that have left their marks on Broadway stages, in jazz clubs, and on R&B radio stations across the country. Her repertoire will include "This Is It," "You Stepped Into My Life," "Love's Comin' Atcha," "Lean On Me," "The Raven," "Stormy Weather," and more.

Melba Moore: Forever Moore will play two performances at the Catalina Bar & Grill on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at 8:30pm. Doors open at 7pm for cocktail and dinner service (minimums apply). Admission is $30-$40, and VIP seating ($50) is available.
