Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley present STANDARD TIME at Valley Performing Arts Center, 3/17

By:

Saturday, March 17 at 8 p.m., the Valley Performing Arts Center at California State University Northridge will present Broadway's husband and wife team, Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, in Standard Time, with music direction by Eric Stern.

Mazzie and husband, Danieley, have performed together on Broadway, at Café Carlyle, Feinstein's at the Loews Regency, Joe's Pub, the Cinegrill in Los Angeles, and numerous other venues nationally, as well as being a part of the Lincoln Center's American Songbook series.

Both have achieved success on Broadway; Marin is a three-time Tony nominee, while Jason Starred in Candide and The Full Monty. Their album, Opposite You, was named "CD of the Year" by NPR.

Marin Mazzie originated the roles of the supple Clara in Passion and the resilient Mother in Ragtime. Two Tony nominations later, she's the feisty Lilli Vanessi in the Broadway revival of 1948's Kiss Me, Kate

Danieley has starred in other Broadway hit shows like The Full Monty, also in London's West End, and the Kander & Ebb musical Curtains. Composer John Kander wrote the song I Miss The Music specifically for him. He also starred at Carnegie Hall, as Lt. Joseph Cable, in the Emmy nominated concert version of South Pacific, which was filmed and aired on PBS' Great Performances.

They met in an off-Broadway play that they performed together called Trojan Women: A Love Story. In 2005, Danieley and Mazzie recorded their first album Opposite You on PS Classics.

Tickets are available through www.ValleyPerformingArtsCenter.org, Ticketmaster, or by calling the box office at (818) 677-3000. For more information visit the website www.ValleyPerformingArtsCenter.org.
