Loser Kids' SANTASIA - A HOLIDAY COMEDY Opens 12/6
By: Tyler Peterson
Loser Kids Productions presents "Santasia - A Holiday Comedy" directed by Shaun Loeser, written and performed by alumni of ImprovOlympic, Second City, and Comedy Sportz, celebrates its 14th year, December 6 through December 24, at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA.
This annual holiday free-wheeling romp has been a cult hit and Critics Pick for 13 years. A perfect blend of Yuletide snark and sentiment, "Santasia - A Holiday Comedy" has been compared to old time Vaudeville and to the likes of the Kids in the Hall and the Carol Burnett Show.
The production includes classic Rankin and Bass Claymation inspired movies created by Michael Granberry (Robot Chicken) to musical parodies produced by Omar D. Brancato (Carbon 9) to hanging Dad's grandiose Christmas decorations to union battles between a Mafioso Mr. Claus and Joe Pesci-esch Rudolph; with choreography by Tania Pearson-Loeser (Team CoCo).The cast includes Michael Duisenberg, Lon Gowan, Andrew J. Hillis, Brandon Loeser, Shaun Loeser, Rusty Locke, and Richard Lee Warren.
The show runs December 6 through December 24; select weekdays at 8pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, select Sundays 2pm and 7pm. Check website for show dates/times. Pre-purchase tickets online for $25. Pay at the door tickets are $35. Buy tickets at www.santasia.com or (818) 990-2324.
