Long Beach Opera Postpones Black Cat Until 2018/2019

Long Beach Opera's production of The Black Cat scheduled for January 13, 20 and 21, has been postponed to the 2018-2019 to resolve logistical challenges to bring this production to the United States. Subscribers and single ticket buyers have been contacted and tickets can be exchanged for future productions or donated.
A replacement and special production with the incomparable Suzan Hanson and Andreas Mitisek, Madness and Lies - Where Madness Lies, is currently in the planning stages for June to complete the 2017-2018 season, which includes The Invention of Morel by Stewart Copeland on March 17, 24, and 25; and The Love Potion by Frank Martin on May 13 and 19. Long Beach Opera is expecting to make a formal announcement of this production shortly. Closing the season in May, LBO is proud to present the Southern California premiere of Martin's The Love Potion, the epic story of Tristan and Iseult-fateful lovers who meet by deception, fall in love by magic, and pursue their love in defiance of heavenly and earthly powers.
