Lanier and Pettiford Appear in L.A. Front Row Center Benefit, March 4

On Saturday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m., West Coast Singers (WCS) will present Front Row Center, a benefit concert for the chorus that will includes an elegant silent auction. The event will take place at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Barnsdall Art Park.
From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the evening's special guest artists, Broadway and television stars Jane Lanier and Valarie Pettiford, as well as the gay community's "premier drag diva" Momma, who will serve as emcee. The silent auction and concert will begins at 6:30 p.m. with a treasure trove of auction items, including signed Broadway memorabilia. The evening will also include a hosted Absolut bar. Both Lanier and Pettiford appeared on Broadway in Fosse. Lanier received a Tony Award nomination for her work in Jerome Robbins' Broadway, and was also seen on Broadway in Anything Goes and Sweet Charity. Pettiford received a Tony nomination for her performance in Fosse, and other Broadway credits include Big Deal, Grind, Sophisticated Ladies and A Broadway Musical."As part of its mission, West Coast Singers seeks to educate and facilitate mutual respect between the gay and lesbian community and the community at large, as well as to sing to our fullest potential, making the best music that can be made. Now celebrating its 23rd season, West Coast Singers was founded in 1983 and is considered to be one of the nation's premier mixed-voice, lesbian-and-gay choruses," according to press notes.
