Laguna Playhouse Bids Farewell to WINTER WONDERETTES, 12/30
The Wonderettes are returning to The Laguna Playhouse in the Orange County Premiere of the joyful holiday show, Winter Wonderettes (created and directed by Roger Bean), from November 24 - December 30.
Winter Wonderettes is set six months after the end of The Marvelous Wonderettes, which The Laguna Playhouse presented in the summer of 2008 before the show moved off-Broadway. This seasonal sequel finds the girls returning to their hometown for a holiday celebration with their family and friends, complete with great Wonderette renditions of classic holiday tunes from the ‘50s and ‘60s including "Santa Baby," "Jingle Bell Rock" and "It's a Marshmallow World."
The LA Weekly calls The Winter Wonderettes "the perfect Christmas revue...the musical numbers crackle with energy and joy," while the LA Times raves "everything about this production is first-rate...if you're looking for festive entertainment this holiday season, turn yourself over to the wonderful Wonderettes."
Previews are November 24-27 with ticket prices of $35-$55. Opening night is November 28 at 7:30pm with ticket prices of $120. Ticket prices for performances November 29-December 30 are $40-$70. Student ticket prices are $15-$20 excluding Friday and Saturday evening performances. To purchase tickets call 949-497-2787 or visit www.LagunaPlayhouse.com.
