L.A Theatre Work's Radio Theatre Series to Air 'Atomic Bombers,' 8/21

L.A. Theatre Works' Radio Theatre Series will air Atomic Bombers by Russell Vandenbroucke, starring Larry Cox, Jeannie Elias, Robin Gammell, Jon Matthews, Phillip Mershon, Danny Mora, Wolf Muser, Lisa Jane Persky, John Vickery, Tom Virtue, and Ron West. The broadcast can be heard locally in Southern California on Saturday Aug. 21 from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on 89.3 KPCC, and can also be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

The broadcast includes an interview with Dr. Robert F. Christy, a theoretical physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project., and also a feature on nuclear-age music and radio commercials with Bill Geerhart: Atomic Platters: Cold War Music from the Golden Age of Homeland Security.

The Radio Theater Series can also be heard on the following stations (check local listings for broadcast times): 89.7 WGBH, Boston; 91.5 WBEZ, Chicago; 94.9 KUOW, Seattle; 90.1 WABE, Atlanta; 94.1 KPFA, Berkeley; 91.1 KRCB, North Bay (San Francisco); and other stations nationwide.
