LA Chamber Orchestra Announces 'All Access' Pass For Students

By:

Shrewd college students ages 17 to 30 can enjoy one of the best bargains in the city with Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's (LACO) "Campus to Concert Hall All Access Pass," which provides admission to some thirty LACO concerts and events for $30, the equivalent of just $1 per ticket. Fortunate pass-holders can attend LACO's 2018-19 season performances at some of Southern California's leading venues, including all eight Orchestral Series concerts at Glendale's Alex Theatre and UCLA's Royce Hall; three In Focus chamber music programs at Santa Monica's Moss Theater and San Marino's Huntington Gardens; four Baroque Conversations programs at downtown LA's Zipper Hall and in Santa Monica at St. Monica Catholic Church and First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica; and three Sound Investment salons where attendees meet and mingle with a composer and learn about their artistic process. As an added bonus, the All Access Pass includes access to performance after-parties to mingle with musicians; advance reservation privileges; and the option to reserve up to three additional tickets at just $8 each for college friends (valid college ID required). This popular student pass, offered for the eighth year, has served to build appreciation for classical music among younger audiences.

"LACO is particularly committed to making its live performances accessible to students," says Associate Executive Director Lacey Huszcza. "With our 'Campus to Concert Hall All Access Pass,' students can attend multiple performances for substantially less than the cost of a movie, or even a latte. Although LACO also offers student tickets at $8 per concert, which must be purchased in person, the 'All Access Pass' makes tickets even more affordable and allows students to reserve them in advance."

LACO's long history of educational outreach encompasses programs integral to its mission of nurturing future musicians and composers as well as inspiring a love of classical music, and it places particular focus on bringing students inside the concert hall to experience the Orchestra's live performances in world-class venues.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) ranks among the world's top musical ensembles. Beloved by audiences and praised by critics, the Orchestra is known as a champion of contemporary composers, with eight ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming, as well as a preeminent interpreter of historical masterworks. Headquartered in the heart of the country's cultural capital, LACO has been proclaimed "America's finest chamber orchestra" (Public Radio International), "LA's most unintimidating chamber music experience" (Los Angeles magazine), "resplendent" (Los Angeles Times) and "one of the world's great chamber orchestras"(KUSC Classical FM). Performing throughout greater Los Angeles, the Orchestra presents orchestral, Baroque and chamber concerts, as well as salon evenings in private spaces and unique experiences that explore classical music's cutting-edge sounds. Jaime Martín, praised as "a visionary conductor, discerning and meticulous" (Platea Magazine), is LACO's Music Director Designate and takes the podium as Music Director in the 2019-20 season.

"Campus to Concert Hall All Access Passes" are available online at laco.org, or by calling LACO at 213 622 7001.
