L.A. Arts District's FRESH COAST MURAL FESTIVAL Begins 10/7 Image

On Saturday, October 07th, the vibrant city streets of the LA Art District will fill its pavement with thousands of culturally diverse art and music enthusiasts, for the the inaugural Fresh Coat Mural Festival. The event is located on Colyton between 4th and 5th Avenues, outside the streets of LA's most captivating urban renewal project, The Container Yard (TCY). The all age, free one-day event will begin at 12:00pm, and end at 10:30pm. Local, regional and nationally recognized street-artists will paint new murals throughout the day and evening. Mural artist's include: Drew Merritt, Breeze, VYAL, It's a living, AXIS, Carley Ealey, Andrew Hem and Slick.

Gourmet food, curated by FoodBeast and TCY will be available to pair with a Hansen's Soda, or a cold craft brew provided by DTLA's very own Angel City Brewing. The event will close out the night with a stacked lineup of live entertainment, featuring notable electronic, DJ's and hip-hop artists, such as RJD2, Poolside, Viceroy, The Hood Internet, Peanut Butter Wolf and Beat Junkies.

"By bringing this festival to the district, we aim to showcase the district's haven for talent and creativity. Pursuing our love for the arts and creative building has been a joy, and we're most grateful to companies like Hansen's, as well as The Many artists who have supported us in our original experiments." - Ash Chan - Owner/Creative Director/ The Container Yard

The Fresh Coat Mural Festival was created to activate art, and grow its diverse community in LA's Art District, while showcasing the more obscure urban areas and various talents that embody the heart of the city.
