Jason Robert Brown’s THE LAST FIVE YEARS Comes to The Grove
For one night only, Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years comes to The Grove on March 9th. An emotionally powerful and intimate musical is a contemporary song-cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the five year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up... or from break-up to meeting, depending on how you look at it. It's the story of two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
The Last Five Years is directed by Nancy Gettinger and stars Amanda Kalkanis as Cathy and James Ellis as Jamie.
*PG13. Subject matter recommended for age 13 and over.
