Hollywood Fringe's 2015 'Fringe Central' Will Be The Dragonfly

By:

Hollywood Fringe Festival (www.hollywoodfringe.org) organizers announced that this year's Fringe Central will be hosted at The Dragonfly (6510 Santa Monica Blvd.). The highly anticipated news about the location of the Fringe-run social space was revealed to festival participants at The Dragonfly during the most recent Town Hall by Festival Director Ben Hill.

"We've had a venue on Theatre Row since our second festival," Hill said later. "Fringe Central has gone up inside tents, storefronts and theatres; this year we're going to host it in a club. While it might be easier to do the same thing every year, we enjoy adapting to a new space to see what kind of magic arises. It feels natural."

Fringe Central annually hosts a festival box office, a bar and a variety of entertainment throughout the festival. The space serves not only as a place for Fringe-goers to unwind, but also as a gathering place for those wishing to network, distribute flyers or hold meetings.

The Fringe Box Office is the only place you can buy tickets for every show in the festival. Venue-specific tickets will also be available at the box offices of over twenty theaters, bars and galleries participating in this years fest. Tickets for all Fringe productions will be available on May 1st at www.hollywoodfringe.org.

Bryan's Bar, the festival's famous watering hole, was designed as a place for artists, audiences, producers and local community members to mix and mingle. Anyone with a Fringe Button will receive discounts on Fringe bar items as well as deals at local Hot Spots.

Fringe Central will officially open to the public for the festival's Opening Night Party on June 10th. There will also be a Fringe Runway event, a Fringe Prom, a Rock n' Roll themed karaoke party and regular installments of Fringe Cabaret (the sampler platter of the Hollywood Fringe buffet).

Fringe Central Hours of Operation:

Friday: 5:00pm - 2:00am
Saturday: 2:00pm - 2:00am

The venue is 18+ only. Learn about more Fringe Central happenings on the Fringe blog.

The Festival will take place June 11th-28th, 2015 preceded by a week of previews (June 4th-9th) and an Opening Night Party on June 10th. The festival sold 46,000 tickets in 2014 and gave back all $389,000 to participating artists and venues. The event continues to be one of the largest uncensored performing arts festivals in the country.
