Got Talent? New Summer TV Series Holds Open L.A. Auditions April 6
Dust off that monologue, fire up those tap shoes and get ready to "Defy Gravity" (or audition song of your choice.)
As the nation contemplates the coronation of Carrie Underwood's successor, the executive producers of American Idol, Simon Cowell and Ken Warwick, announce their multiple-city casting search for the most talented person in the U.S. NBC's new series America's Got Talent will feature a colorful array of hopeful future stars from across the country as they compete for a one million dollar cash prize. America's votes will decide the ultimate winner.
Singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique novelty acts of all ages will have a chance to strut and perform in front of the casting directors, who will determine which acts will have a chance to appear on the show. The auditions officially kick off in Los Angeles on April 6, 7 and 8 at Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel, 711 South Hope Street. Information for those unable to make the open calls and a list of other cities holding casting calls can be found at www.nbc.com (click on "casting.")
