Fresh from a year on Broadway starring as Danny Zuko in the latest revival of Grease, Max Crumm's next venture will be for a slightly smaller audience. The winner of NBC's "Grease: You're the one that I Want!" will continue his stage career in an equity waiver production of Killing Diaz, an original one act play.

Produced by the newly formed Immediate Theatre Group, Killing Diaz will premiere at The Lounge Theatre in Hollywood. The play will run on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm, opening January 9th and closing February 1st.

"People are going to like this play. It's funny. It moves quick, and you just don't expect them to do it!" remarked Crumm in a press statement. His final performance in Grease on Broadway was on July 22th, 2008. Crumm also happily added, "I'm just excited to be back on stage."

Press notes describe Killing Diaz as the story of five friends, who in order to avoid an awkward confrontation, plot to murder an upstairs neighbor. Crumm plays Tyler, the one comes up with the idea. It's a dark comedy exploring how being selfish and egotistical can seem harmless until pride is put on the line. Adam Brooks plays Joe, the sociopathic ex-roommate who would rather see an innocent girl die than face her after his lies put him in a precarious situation.

Bradford Benoit, Wilton Godfrey and writer Cameron Fife round out the cast. Chuck Bradley, who also serves as Artistic Director for the Immediate Theatre Group, will direct.

Fife has written two other plays, an adaptation of the Trey Parker cult movie "Cannibal! The Musical" and "A True Story. Based on Things That Never Actually Happened.
...and some that did.", which he co-wrote with Tyler McGee.

The Lounge Theatre is located at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles, 90038.
