FIRST LOOK: Theatre Palisades Presents HAY FEVER by Noel Coward, opening 1/15/16

By:

Theatre Palisades presents Noel Coward's hilarious comedy "HAY FEVER" opening Friday, January 15 through Sunday, February 21, 2016 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. at the Pierson Playhouse, located at 941 Temescal Canyon Road in Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.

Directed by Michael Worden and produced by Martha Hunter and Sherman Wayne by special permission with Samuel French, the cast features (in alphabetical order) Phil Bartolf, Anna Carlise, Mark Davidson, Tyler Frost, Martha Hunter, Cassandra Orrantia, Yvonne Robertson, Holly Sidell, and Przemek Jaremko.

Noel Coward's plays epitomize the sophisticated wit of the era between the two world wars, and his comedy of manners "HAY FEVER" about a family whose theatrical excesses torment a group of unsuspecting visitors, epitomizes what makes Coward plays so well-loved by audiences worldwide. Considered by many to be cleverly constructed, wittily written, slightly cynical, and undeniably entertaining, the work contains all the elements that helped establish Coward's reputation as a award-winning playwright.

Hoping for a quiet weekend in the country with some guests, David Bliss, a novelist and his wife Judith, a retired actress, find that it's an impossible dream when their high-spirited children Simon and Sorel appear with guests of their own. A houseful of drama waits to be ignited as misunderstandings and tempers flare. With Judith's new flame and David's newest literary 'inspiration' keeping company as the children follow suit, the Bliss family lives up to its name as the 'quiet weekend' comes to an exhausting and hilarious finale!

"HAY FEVER" performances are from Friday, January 15 to Sunday, February 21, 2016, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. at the Pierson Playhouse, located at 941 Temescal Canyon Road (south of Sunset Blvd.) in Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.

Please note: The California Incline, connecting Ocean Ave and the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica approximately 3 miles south of Theatre Palisades, has been closed for renovation. Please allow for extra time or plan an alternate route when driving to the theatre.

Ticket Prices: Adults $20, Seniors and Students $18. For more information or to order tickets, please call our box office at (310) 454-1970 or visit our website at www.theatrepalisades.org. Free onsite parking is available at the Pierson Playhouse.
