Experience Your Own Death or Brave A Dark Fantastical World In Two New Immersive Experiences Coming To Los Angeles This Fall

By:

You can now buy tickets to experience your own death or restore balance to a dark, fantastical realm. Screenshot Productions-who previously brought us works like Fear Is What We Learned Here, Parturition, Shoshin and the ongoing Das Gericht-are back with two new, immersive shows.

Screenshot Productions is a collective of interdisciplinary artists dedicated to creating immersive experiences that tap into universal human emotions. They explore the spaces between art, technology, interconnectivity, and the self, creating journeys with a genuine emotional impact to inspire individual growth and creativity.

This Fall they are bringing two unique experiences to Los Angeles:

The first, entitled Bardo Thodol, is a deeply personal, transportive horror experience taking the audience member through their own death and soul's judgment in the afterlife. The audience member will find themselves in the state between death and reincarnation where they will be challenged to look back on their life and within themselves to recognize the nature of their mind and attain liberation for the cycle of rebirth. The journey will only be for one audience member at a time, will be intensely personalized for each attendee (Audience members will be sent a detailed questionnaire before the experience), and will take place at 704 S. Spring St. in Downtown Los Angeles. Performance dates are September 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 24th, and 30th and spots are extremely limited.

The second, entitled The Rope is a highly interactive and immersive horror experience taking the participant through a dark fantastical world in which each step, each response, and each decision made influences the world around them. They will be taken to a strange land, through the darkest moments of waking life, and subject to a variety of obstacles and interactions to challenge their sanity. The audience member will inhabit the role of an unnamed champion, given the choice to either inherit the order of this dark place, or destroy it and thus will truly shape the outcome of the story and the world around them. There are multiple paths, secret passageways and various ending depending on how the audience member behaves and each person will take something unique away from their journey.

Journeys through this dark world will take place throughout the month of October somewhere in Los Angeles. However, portals to this world will only be opened to those willing to take a step of faith into the unknown. Thus, specific dates, times, and location will only be given to those who make a reservation.

Tickets for both shows are available at http://screenshotproductions-tickets.com/.
