Daughter-Father Duo Team Up On Stage For PROOF Image

Revenant Stage Club presents Proof, David Auburn's Pulitzer-Prize/Tony Award-winning play about fathers and daughters, the nature of genius, and the power of love. Directed by award-winning director David Fofi, Artistic Director of Revenant Stage Club (the new name for The Elephant Theatre Company). Proof stars real-life father-daughter duo Jerry Michaels and Morgan Michaels. The play will be presented March 10 - April 1, 2018 at The New American Theatre's new venue (formerly The Underground Theatre) in Hollywood: 1312 N. Wilton Place, Hollywood, CA 90028. Tickets, at $25, can be purchased at Plays411.com/Proof.

In Proof, Catherine, who has inherited her deceased father's mathematical brilliance, is haunted by the fear that she also inherited his madness. Caught between a budding relationship with Hal, one of her father's former students, and the reappearance of her estranged sister Claire, Catherine finds both her world and her mind unraveling as a family mystery comes to light.

"I am very excited to direct real-life father and daughter team Jerry Michaels and Morgan Michaels in this very personal play," says director David Fofi. "The chemistry is profoundly real."

Proof represents a resurgence for Fofi and crew. This production is the first under Elephant Theatre's new name, Revenant Stage Club. "Revenant" indicates a returning. The Elephant Theatre (a membership company) lost their space on Santa Monica Blvd. to a real estate sale in 2015. As Revenant Stage Club, they have found a new home, and a new beginning in their relationship with The New American Theatre. Revenant will be in residence at The New American Theatre for future productions.

Proof stars Jerry Michaels (Robert), Morgan Michaels (Catherine), Michael Blum (Hal on Fridays/Saturdays), Nick Cassidy (Hall on Sundays) and Rachael Boller (Claire). Direction and Scenic design by David Fofi. Lighting and Sound Design by Matthew Richter. Costume Design by Pam Noles.

Proof performs on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m., March 10 through April 1. Tickets are $25 with discount tickets available for groups, seniors and students. Proof is a guest production at The New American Theatre: 1312 N. Wilton Place Hollywood, CA 90028. For reservations and information, go to Plays411.com/proof.
