DOMA Presents 'Reloaded' Production of Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT, Now thru 10/18

By:

DOMA Theatre Company's remount of its SRO hit production of Green Day's American Idiot -- RELOADED! gets a three-week run tonight, Oct. 2, through Oct. 18 at the MET Theatre in Hollywood. For tickets and more information, visit www.domatheatre.com.

American Idiot has broken box office records for DOMA, an award-winning company that specializes in bringing large-scale musicals to the MET Theatre's intimate stage. It has received dozens of rave reviews, including the Los Angeles Times, which found it "Broadway caliber in almost every particular... something close to ambrosia"; Frontiers, which raved "FIVE STARS... breathtakingly bold and brilliantly executed"; and the LA Weekly, which called it, "Topnotch." Due to close on Sunday, Aug. 2, the production has already extended twice due to runaway ticket sales, and it plays to sold-out houses nightly.

Tony Award-nominated for best musical and a Grammy Award winner for best musical show album, American Idiot features the music of Green Day with lyrics by lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong and a book by Armstrong and Michael Mayer. Songs include chart toppers "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "21 Guns," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," "Holiday" and the blockbuster title track, "American Idiot." The DOMA production is directed by Marco Gomez, with musical direction by Christopher Raymond and choreography by Angela Todaro.

"We plan to add a few surprises when we re-open," says Gomez. "So if you've already been and want to come back, there will be even more to see."

Green Day's American Idiot - RELOADED! will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. from Oct. 2 through Oct. 18. Tickets, which range from $30-$40, go on sale July 30 at www.domatheatre.com. For more information, call 323-802-9181. The MET Theatre is located at 1089 N. Oxford Ave., Los Angeles CA 90029. (Content Warning: American Idiot contains adult content and strong language. For mature audiences.)
