CLUTCH, MERMAID WARS and INHALE HARMONICA Set for SkyPilot's 2015 Season of World Premieres

By:

SkyPilot Theatre Company of Los Angeles is proud to announce its 2015 season of World Premier Plays all written by our resident playwrights. This is SkyPilot's 5th consecutive season exclusively producing new works.

The season is as follows:

CLUTCH by Liz Shannon Miller (March 2015)

CLUTCH is ripped right from our headlines, at least our sports headlines, and deals with the issue of professional football players and concussions and how the end results are often ruined family's and even suicide. CLUTCH takes place at the funeral of one-time NFL wide receiver Gordon Beers. Guests to include his estranged family, a fantasy football addict, a neuroscientist who's hungry for brains, and the man who knocked Gordon out of the league.

Liz also wrote the critically acclaimed LIGHTS OFF, EYES CLOSED as part of SkyPilot's 2012 season.

THE MERMAID WARS by Adam Hahn (June 2015)

In August, 2001, the United States was hit with a surprise attack by mermaids. For more than a decade, we've been fighting THE MERMAID WARS, badly. In this converging collection of scenes and monologues, our enemies have never been so deadly or so lovely.

Adam also wrote the book for the critically acclaimed EARTHBOUND: AN ELECTRONICA MUSICAL and KONG, A GODDAMN THIRTY FOOT GORILLA, both a part of SkyPilot's 2012 season.

INHALE HARMONICA by Nathan Wellman (October 2015)

Long buried family secrets reach their boiling point when an outsider comes to the Thompson family's small Kentucky town and tries to get their daughter to move away with her young child.

Nathan's play RYAN IS LOST won the "Spirit of the Fringe" award at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
