CHICANAS, CHOLAS, Y CHISME VI: STAND UP! SPEAK OUT! is Now Playing At Josefina Lopez's CASA 0101 Theater

"Chicanas, Cholas y Chisme VI: Stand Up! Speak Out!," a Play Festival of 12 World Premiere Short 10-Minute Plays, is currently playing through April 15, 2018 on the Main Stage at Josefina López's CASA 0101 Theater, 2102 East First Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Heights, CA 90033 during Women's History Month. Written, directed and produced by Latinas, performances are being given on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m.

"Chicanas, Cholas y Chisme VI: Stand Up! Speak Out!" is a Festival of 12 World Premiere Short Plays exploring the struggles and triumphs of Latinas throughout the decades, and in today's political climate. Subject matter explored in the new plays includes: #MeToo, sexual harassment, transphobia, immigration, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and the Chicano Walkouts which happened 50 years ago.

Tickets are $23 per person for General Admission; $20 per person for Students and Seniors 60+; and $18 per person for Boyle Heights residents. It is recommended that minors under the age of 17 be accompanied by an adult. The show contains strong adult language and mature themes. Advance reservations are highly encouraged. On Friday, April 8, 2018, the performance will feature an American Sign Language Interpreter. The Running Time of the show is 120 minutes.
