Bryce Ryness Plays 'One Night Only' at Barre, 9/19
Broadway star and singer/songwriter, Bryce Ryness, offers a night of his heartfelt original music for one night only at LA hotspot, Barre, on Monday, September 19th at 8PM.
Currently starring as 'The Emcee' in Reprise! Theater Company's production of CABARET, Ryness is taking a time-out on his day off to thrill audiences with his soulful and intimate songs.
As an actor, Bryce is most commonly known for his Drama Desk-nominated portrayal of 'Woof' in the Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR. In Los Angeles, he most recently captivated audiences as 'Mike, The Orderly' in the New York-bound Sleeping Beauty Wakes at La Jolla Playhouse and ‘Maffio' in the world premiere of Dangerous Beauty at the Pasadena Playhouse. In 2005 he garnered an Ovation nomination for his portrayal of ‘Floyd' in the LA premiere of Floyd Collins at the West Coast Ensemble. He also appeared in Leap Of Faith at the Ahmanson, and Camelot at the Hollywood Bowl. In New York, he was seen in Legally Blonde (Aaron, u/s Emmett); Off-Broadway in Drama Desk-winner See Rock City & Other Destinations (Transport Group), HAIR (Delacorte, Public) and Crossing Brooklyn (Transport Group). In 2006 Bryce toured the country as ‘Roger' in the 10th Anniversary National Tour of Rent.
As a singer/songwriter, Bryce fronts the eponymous rock band, RYNESS. Based in New York, the alt-rock group has released two records; Live At Joe's Pub and the band's first studio album, A Fire In The Night, which is available on iTunes. For this show he'll be performing some of RYNESS' best-loved songs (and a few new, unrecorded ones) in an acoustic, soul-baring format.
