Boston Court Extends THE CHILDREN thru June 17th

By:

The Theatre @ Boston Court announces the extension of "The Children" a World Premiere by Michael Elyanow, directed by Jessica Kubzansky, through June 17, 2012.

What if a character from "Medea" wrested the children away from their mother’s murderous intent, accidentally transporting them to present-day Maine in the middle of a hurricane? The Children is a layered, Rubik’s Cube of a story, rich with comedy, passion and pain. Is that the modern-day sheriff or Jason, Medea’s husband? Will these children grow up to overcome their horrific childhoods? Wild theatricality, myth, and puppetry combine to tell an eerily moving story of survival and healing.

"The Children" will be performed on an adjusted schedule: Thursday and Friday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm and 7pm. General admission tickets are $34 with student and senior tickets available at $29. Tickets can be purchased online at bostoncourt.org or by calling (626) 683-6883. Boston Court Performing Arts Center is located one block north of Colorado at the corner of Mentor Ave. and Boston Ct.

"The Children" is supported in part by The Shubert Foundation, The City of Pasadena, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust, Founding Director Z. Clark Branson, and the generous contributions of The Theatre @ Boston Court supporters and contributors.

The Theatre @ Boston Court is the award-winning resident theatre company at Boston Court Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, CA. Michael Seel, Executive Director, Jessica Kubzansky and Michael Michetti, Co-Artistic Directors, Hillary Metcalf, Managing Director.
