Jim Steinman's award-winning new musical Bat out of Hell THE MUSICAL is coming to the Ahmanson Theatre for a limited four week engagement from January 8 through February 2. Currently, the show playing London's Dominion Theatre.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, August 15 by calling (213) 972-4400, online at www.AhmansonTheatre.org, or by visiting the Center Theatre Group Box Office located at the Ahmanson Theatre. Tickets range from $30 - $135 (ticket prices are subject to change). The Ahmanson Theatre is located at The Music Center, 135 N. Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles, 90012.

Bringing to life the legendary anthems of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf, this critically acclaimed production combines the magic of a musical, with the immense energy of rock 'n' roll. Jim Steinman's Bat out of Hell THE MUSICAL is a romantic adventure about rebellious youth and passionate love, set against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city adrift from the mainland. Strat, the forever-young leader of The Lost, has fallen for Raven, daughter of Falco, the tyrannical ruler of Obsidian.

Originally written as a musical, "Bat Out Of Hell" went on to become one of the most iconic and successful albums of all time. Forty years later, this critically acclaimed, smash hit "brings the theatre and its audience thrillingly alive" (The Stage) with its jaw-dropping, boundary-pushing spectacle and Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf's legendary hits, including "Dead Ring for Love," "Two out of Three Ain't Bad," "Paradise by the Dashboard Light," "I'd do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)," and "Bat Out Of Hell."

Directed by award-winning theatre and opera director Jay Scheib, Bat out of Hell THE MUSICAL has book, music and lyrics by GRAMMY Award-winning record producer, composer, and lyricist Jim Steinman, choreography by Emma Portner, with musical arrangements and supervision by Michael Reed, set design by Jon Bausor, costume design by Meentje Nielsen & Jon Bausor, video design by Finn Ross, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, orchestration by Steve Sidwell, casting by Carrie Gardner and Jillian Cimini, C.S. A., and musical direction by Ryan Cantwell.

BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL is produced by David Sonenberg, Michael Cohl, Randy Lennox, Tony Smith.
