3,000 Miles Off Broadway Productions in association with El Portal Theatre proudly present Hot August Night: A Tribute to Neil Diamond, starring tribute artist Dean Colley at El Portal's Monroe Forum Theatre, in the NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, CA. This special eight performance engagement will be presented June 6 through June 15, 2014.

Dean Colley will perform his special salute to Neil Diamond, Hot August Night, backed by his top-notch show band. The evening will recreate the legendary concerts performed by Neil Diamond at the Greek Theater in August of 1972.

"We chose the name because it was the one that made Neil's career, " Colley said, referring to the
seminal recording of a Diamond concert on August 24, 1972, one of ten sold out concerts that Diamond performed that month at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. "It covered all his major hits and was his signature set."

Hot August Night has played major showrooms in Reno, Laughlin, Las Vegas, Carson City, and Minden NV; Tucson, Phoenix, Yuma. AZ; Lincoln OR; Seattle; Atsugi and Iwakuni Japan; Oxford, England; Bettendorf , IA; Edmonton, Canada; Stone Mountain GA; Toulumne; San Diego, Hollywood, Anaheim, Beverly Hills and Palm Springs CA.

"We take the audience on a musical journey through the history of Neil Diamond, playing all the favorite hits like 'Cracklin Rosie,' 'America,' 'Song Sung Blue,' 'Cherry Cherry,' 'Holly Holy,' and many more.

Dean Colley is considered by some to be the best Neil Diamond re-creator in the world, with favorable reviews by major publications globally.

Neil Diamond told Dean to never tire of doing his songs!

The historic El Portal Theatre was built in 1926. There are three performance spaces in the complex with the 360 seat Mainstage, 99 Seat Monroe/Forum and the 42 Seat storefront Tribe Theatre.
