Before RENT, there was TICK, TICK … BOOM! With the specter of his 30th birthday mere days away, Jon, an aspiring composer in SoHo, is plagued by self-doubt. He wonders whether he made the wrong career choice as he navigates the pressures and growing pains of love and friendship. This semi-autobiographical pop/rock musical by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer-Prize and Tony Award winning creator of RENT, inspired Lin Manuel Miranda’s 2021 Netflix movie adaptation and explores the sacrifices one man makes and the passion it takes to pursue a dream.
