In 1960’s New York, a boy lives with his eccentric Uncle Murray, an unemployed T.V. writer, whose free-spirited life includes a host of outrageous comic characters. When Nick writes a school assignment on the benefits of unemployment insurance, a pair of bickering social workers descend to find out just what’s going on in the unconventional household. This Broadway and screen hit, which starred Jason Robards, Jr., will tickle your funny bone and touch your heart. A heartwarming tale by the Pulitzer Prize nominee for “Conversations with My Father.”
