Soluna Studio to Produce PIPPIN

SoLuna Studio will produce the interactive circus-themed musical PIPPIN as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running July 14th-August 6th. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets purchased in advance at www.SoLunaStudioNY.eventbrite.com are $20. At the door, all tickets are $25. About PIPPIN

PIPPIN is a Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.

Pippin, the son of the emperor Charlemagne, returns from university certain that he will find a fulfilling purpose in life. As encouraged by the Leading Player, Pippin dabbles in bloody battle, licentious entanglements, and saavy political maneuvers, only to discover that true happiness is more complicated than he thought. With infectious music and exhilarating choreography, PIPPIN is both a humorous allegory about growing up and a dark tale of the danger of false appearances and empty promises.
