Photo Flash: The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre Closes Out 40th Season with SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

We know what you're thinking, "Saturday Night Fever has been done all over Long Island this year, why?" Well the answer is simple. this year, The Bee Gees celebrate the 40th Anniversary of "Saturday Night Fever". Now what sets The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre's reasoning to do the show apart from everyone else, is that this just so happens to be the last show of their 40th Season. As The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre is half way through celebrating it's 30th Year of bringing Live Theatre to Long Island, it seemed a perfect fit to celebrate Season 40 and the 40th Anniversary of Saturday Night Fever by producing the show on their stage.

ABOUT THE SHOW

A musical based on Nik Cohn's 1975 New York Magazine article "Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night" and Norman Wexler's 1977 film, featuring music by The Bee Gees. This musical adaptation of the '70s classic film is the story of a talented, streetwise kid from Brooklyn, Tony Manero, who goes to the discotheque, where he is admired by Stephanie Mangano and rest of the disco's patrons and while escaping his dead-end life through dancing. The score to Saturday Night Fever includes many disco-era hits by The Bee Gees. Rated PG-13. Songs include: "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", "Disco Inferno", "More Than A Woman", "How Deep Is Your Love" and more!
